Vestas has delivered more than 200,000 MW or over 91,000 wind turbines in 88 countries, which accounts for almost 20% of the total worldwide installed capacity.

As the largest wind energy company in the world, Vestas has 29,000 employees and more than 40 years experience and develops, designs, manufactures, constructs, and services wind farms across the world.

Vestas has been active in Australia since 2001 and employs more than 800 staff in Australia and New Zealand in the sales, development, construction and maintenance of wind farms. In Australia, Vestas has installed over 2100 wind turbines in total and established a 4 GW wind project development portfolio across Australia.

Vestas is a signatory to the Clean Energy Council’s Community Engagement Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Developments. This is a set of voluntary commitments by Clean Energy Council members to engage respectfully with the communities in which they plan and operate projects, to be sensitive to environmental and cultural values and to make a positive contribution to the regions in which they operate.
